Thank you for making Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh a major success in 2008.
What makes up a Rebuilding Day Event? Following are some of the projects accomplished in 2008:
- 1 community center was painted and supplied with office furniture
- 2 community parks were refurbished and planted
- 3 homeowners' lives were saved as a result of discovering CO leaks in the home
- 8 new roofs were installed
- 12 homeowners received new electrical services and/or upgrades
- 13 homes received plumbing upgrades
- 29 homes were repaired, renovated and modified
- 136 articles of adaptive equipment were installed
- 950 community volunteers donated 8,000 hours to improve housing in support of the one day event
The project value of free home repair and modifications services delivered during the 2007 Rebuilding Day Event was $452,221.00. This would not have been possible without your generous donations of time, skills, money, materials and food. Together, we truly are "Rebuilding Pittsburgh, One Home at a Time".
